On August 30, 2025, a group of scientists, biologists, mycology experts and enthusiasts from the Connecticut & Westchester NY Mycology Association gathered at Boyd Woods Audubon Sanctuary to comb the area for mushrooms. They were participating in their organization’s annual Mycology Foray. The above photo shows a sample of what they collected at Boyd Woods Sanctuary throughout the day. The weather was perfect.
