Wildlife artist Dorie Petrochko talked about her work and life, and her lifelong passion for birds at LHAS’ December 1, 2025 monthly meeting. Her work reflects her intense love for birds, to benefit conservation and species preservation. There is something intrinsically spiritual and secretive about birds that is untouchable. That is precisely what she likes about them and what she will spend a lifetime trying to capture. Dorie teaches classes in drawing and painting birds and is an active member and exhibitor at the International Guild of National Science Illustrators.
