On August 30, 2025, a group of scientists, biologists, mycology experts and enthusiasts from the Connecticut & Westchester NY Mycology Association gathered at Boyd Woods Audubon Sanctuary to comb the area for mushrooms. The Litchfield Hills Audubon Society held their Christmas Bird Count (CBC) this past Sunday, December 15. LHAS has been participating in the CBC since its founding in 1955.
